Why students stop loving school?
Education is indeed significant in one's life. Without it, life is nothing great.
Have you heard about a quote stating that "I love education but not school"?
School is, of course, a great place to learn. It is a place where students meet new people, learn new things, discover their dreams, and become educated.
But some people may not love it, according to my research, I've discovered many reasons why many students stop wanting to go to school.
1. Students themselves are lazy. Well, at this point, they should be reprimanded because it's not a school's fault or teachers'. When they are indolent, they tend to procrastinate with their work, their studies, and homework that is assigned to them. When they are not diligent, they usually skip classes because they are afraid to be chastised for not completing their tasks. They are scared to be condemned due to their laziness and recklessness.
2. Tutees cannot catch up with the lessons.
Have you ever experienced it?
Studying something that we find challenging to understand is monotonous. Take Maths as an example; most students skip their maths class because sometimes, they don 't understand it clearly. They are bored because of not being intelligent enough to master it, so they may give up attending class.
3. They are bullied.
It is complicated to be hurt by their classmates or friends. Negative remark hurts a lot.
It doesn't seem to be that serious, but in fact, it is. Some pupils feel frightened to show up for classes because they know they will be bullied again.
Bully comes in many forms, two of which are physical and emotional bully.
4. School is no longer a place to teach students, but a criterion to judge students' ability.
How painful is it to be inferred because of not being as excellent as others?
Most kids have to suffer this kind of suffering, which will forever affect their lives.
They are too immature to be judged. They are mostly new to learn all the things in this enormous world, why do you keep blaming them when they fail to be perfect?
Give them time, give them their lives to be free. There is no criterion to measure one's life, and of course, score cant either.
5. School is no longer a place to learn, but a field where they compete.
Competing with each other is a good sign in learning because it helps students boost their knowledge and keep growing day by day, but what about competing every day and time?
Of course, it becomes USELESS. Learning is no longer enjoyable. Students compete with one another with their quiz's score, exam's, practice test's and even their clothes, faces, mouth, WHATEVER.
When it is no longer fun to learn, nobody learns,
6. They no longer feel like home.
School is the second home. Although it is not a place where we can freely live, it is considered as students' house. But it doesn't mean a house can be our home. When we feel that we belong to it, we want to own and visit it, but when we no longer feel the same, our feeling for it will sooner or later subside like the smoke.
Dear keep learning. Keep growing.
Dear teachers, please understand this elucidation
Dear parents, stop using this criterion to judge your child's ability
Dear students, please work harder
Dear friends, stop competing, but please help one another instead.
